Rent

I was wondering how much do you guys pay in rent relative to your base salary in NYC? It seems like the 30% rule is hard to achieve unless you live with a roommate. Also is it realistic to live in Jersey City/Hoboken if you work in FIDI? I don't know much about NYC

Most people living in NYC right after college have roommates.

The 30% rule is also generally supposed to be pre-tax. Shouldn't be too difficult really

What do you mean shouldn't be too difficult? What are your 1br prices you have in mind?
