Savings for moving out
I will be moving into NYC for my full time starting in July, and I’m curious how much savings I need just to cover cost of moving into an apartment.
For context: I’m getting a starting bonus but that will be paid in my first paycheck ~3 weeks into job. Also, I have pretty much no other obligations and I am trying to maximize my Investment account, so I figured $5k in cash savings could cover 1st&last month and security deposit with some other misc fees.
Thoughts?
