Selling t shirts on Tee Spring?

Anyone out here sell t shirts on teespring and make any money off it? All you do is upload a design and they produce the shirts for you once someone orders. Their cost for the shirt is around $11 so not a bad deal for someone starting out. I made a couple shirts last night, but need to start marketing them. Just curious if anyone else has done this as a side hustle?

You better have a solid channel to market those goods before buying into the hype.

Just a quick update I reached out a designer on fiverr.com and got a professional looking design for $5. I gave the designer the idea for what I was looking for and he even did a couple revisions. Very quick process. I uploaded the design to teespring and the shirts are now available. Biggest thing to work on now is marketing. Getting the shirts on the site is fairly easy even without a design background.

This marketing stuff is proving to be quite challenging. I got my second design from Fiverr for $5 again and have been focused on marketing the second design instead of the first design I got last week.

I have been using twitter & reddit with no luck thus far, but that is to be expected from what I can gather researching successful campaigns. Sounds like the real way to market the shirts is with paid FB ads, which I plan to try to put together this weekend.

My expectations are low. I only have $12 invested (two $5 designs + $2 in processing fees) so if it ends up failing no big deal.
