Shia Lebouef's character in Wall Street 2

Can't figure out exactly what he does. He seems to be at a prop trading shop in NY, but also trying to raise 100 million for some random alternative energy company. Can someone explain to me wtf he's doing?

I will, but you gotta figure out how bumping works first.

You can plagiarize ideas, apologize for it while plagiarizing an apology, then show up at an art show with a bag on your head. But before all of that you have to experiment with drugs for a movie role where the character doesn't even do the drugs you are using to get in the role for.
