Look into rec sports if you play at all. Great way to work off some of the business lunch calories and meet people. Professional orgs too can be good because you meet other people your age looking to meet people.

Run club. Seriously, that’s where people are meeting these days. Did a group bike ride the other day and met a few PE / VC / B school guys. Not in charlotte but also not a finance focused city
I’ll look into it! I’m more into weightlifting but not a bad option.
Know a lot of people who aren’t into running but do it for the social aspect. Also if you’re lifting a lot and not doing cardio… your heart will thank you
Agreed, running/cycling will yield better results for networking over social clubs. You will only find real estate finance guys in social clubs. Think of who actually needs to go to an event to network outside of their day job. PE/VC/B school people already network in their job/school and don't need to pay for access to people
