Spartacus - blood and sand
What do you guys think of it? I will agree it is kitsch, but the fighting, sex, cursing('Jupiter's cock') are all extremely entertaining.

I watched it on NetFlix. The show moves slow as hell, but I thought it was fucking awesome in general.
Great show.
Awesome show, its too bad the actor that plays spartacus ( Andy Whitfield) was diagnosed with cancer. They have someone to replace him in future seasons but it won't be the same.
Damn. Can't believe that bawss has cancer. That show is amazing.
Sopranos = The Wire > Breaking Bad > Mad Men > Spartacus = Eastbound and Down
Lol I was about to make some quip about here we go lets start making it a rankings thread, but I actually really agree with this lineup. I might switch Breaking Bad with Mad Men.
You must be on fucking crack, Eastbound and Down is >than all.
Agree great show. Gods of the Arena was very well-done as well.
Spartacus is amusing. There's enough flesh to make it interesting. The Wire? Incredibly good, didn't get enough press. Mad Men & Sopranos no need to talk. Never seen Breaking Bad, perhaps I will.
freakin amazing show
Awesome show. The first season is definitely better than the second season (which is the prequel/back story).
SPOLIER (partial) The only thing that really pissed me off about the first one was the wife fucking dying. Am I the only one who wanted to see that chick get naked and nailed a bunch more times? I was like, "WTF?!?". I also have to commend Lucy Lawless for putting her parts on display...at 43 she is looking pretty damn good.
Regards
There's so many ancient and medieval shows now it's getting ridiculous. It was all started by 300 and Showtime's The Tudors. EDIT - forgot about HBO's Rome, but that was only two seasons
And you can't compare Eastbound and Down with dramas - apples and oranges...well, I take that back b/c in this case E&D is the best show on TV.
Slight hijack here: Does anyone agree that season 1 of The Wire was terrible except for the last couple episodes? Then the rest of the seasons were absolutely incredible.
I think they still weren't 100% sure with the direction they were taking with the show / working out some kinks. In my opinion Season 2 was actually the slowest/worst, with the series hitting a crescendo in late 3-early 4.
Absolutely love this show! Pity that Andy Whitfield won't be returning for the second season. I also enjoyed the prequel, Gods of the Arena.
Anyone been watching Game of Thrones? I've been pleasantly surprised - I think it's shaping up to be a good run, especially once all of these storylines start coming together.
