Tech is going to be affected by the economic contraction. The workforce will be reduce and the would be more demand place on individual engineers. However, it's still a great environment for startups and some of the best tech companies were started in recessions, Like Square, Uber, and Twilio. Lots of opportunities to start ventures and even more capital be accessible for those founding, iterating and building startups.
