WFH full week is market/normal. Anything less means you should run.
BB — Tuesday thru Friday
Weds WFH. Thurs and Fri are not workdays at my bank (protected unless you have a waiver, which is a very high bar over the holidays. would need to be an imminent live deal)
As in those are normally wfh or those are protected.. what in the world?

Not in banking (buyside), but WFH is perfectly acceptable this week and the right thing to do at this time of the year to spend time with family. I’ve told all my juniors to WFH starting late last week.
Even the most gung-ho white haired Partners are encouraging younglings to WFH this week. If your MD has an issue with it, you’re working with a psychopath and would advise you to switch teams/firms.
No deal toy can replace lost time with family members, especially the elderly. Happy Thanksgiving bud.
