The $30,000 pair of Apple shoes

These bad boys will be auctioned off on eBay this weekend. The starting bid? Only $15,000. Just when you thought that MacBook was overpriced.
Heritage Auctions says the estimated value of the kicks are actually $30,000 but really, they're worth what someone will pay for them. There's a good chance the auction will reach that threshold though, as Apple memorabilia is infamous for being costly. Last year, another private vendor sold a leather jacket Steve Jobs wore for $22,000.
The article mentions Apple's brand loyalty (we are pretty much all guilty with our iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, Apple Watches, etc). There is probably a disgusting proportion of the population with all 4 of these.
So all of this got me thinking... who needs some new shoes?!
