The Cornell hate needs to stop

Tired of seeing people flaming Cornell on this site and grouping us with schools like UMich / Georgetown of all places.

Cornell acceptance rate: 7.5%

UMich acceptance rate: 17.7%

Georgetown acceptance rate: 12.2%

We place at every BB/EB on the street and have alumni everywhere. You can't say the same for UMich or Georgetown, no matter how many kids from UMich/Georgetown glaze their school on this site.

Lmao all my buddies called it Corny-ell and based on this post it’s such a fitting nickname

Are you heading to a WF/HW/RBC type shop from Cornell where you feel a bit inferior to peers from other lower-ranked schools heading to better banks? So you have to jerk off to the fact that at least you went to a higher ranked college.

Cornell is a great college and glad you’re proud. And here’s your tip. Thanks for delivering my luggage to the President’s Suite.

Sounds like something andy from the office would say

"Cornell is the easiest and youngest Ivy League school. It was established in 1865 and is situated in Ithaca, New York. Out of 49,114 candidates, Cornell accepted 5,330, for an admission percentage of around 10.9%. This acceptance rate is more than twice as high as the rates for our top two universities, Harvard and Columbia, and as a result, it offers prospective students the best chance of getting accepted."

10.9% is in the same league as Georgetown and Georgetown ED is even lower at an early acceptance rate of 9.8%.

7.5% doesn’t include ED. With ED it is 10.9% for the class of 2024.

My Dad beat down Cornell in the 50s and got the game ball.

it doesn't really matter at the end of the day. its usually people who go to the shittier schools that hate on you because they think their schools are in the same ballpark as Cornell, and they should have the same quota for banks like us, but the truth is it isn't. Source: https://ccs.career.cornell.edu/dash/dashboard_employment

Lastly, schools like ggt, dartmouth, UVA, or Stern treat finance as their main track, so much at Cornell are doing engineering and CS. Finance competition at Cornell is so less fierce compare to those schools. The ggt shills in this forum is crazy. They are literally like a safety school for those go to Deerfield, Andover, Choate
