The future of working from home

If Coronavirus has showed us anything it's that a lot of work doesn't require an office. Certain industries aside, this pandemic has proved the economy can still function with a remote workforce. I can see a future where offices are only used for "team-building" once a week, which would lower rent expense and instill a greater sense of freedom for employees. Thoughts?

Minus site visits, which aren't in the office, and large meetings, which 99% of the time aren't necessary, I'm able to do everything at home today that I could in the office.

Since most people on WSO do not have kids, you can easily work from home. However, it is a bigger challenge when your kids are home due to school closures.

there’s a joke that when you work at home your boss thinks you’re available for work 24/7 while your family thinks you’re available for housework 24/7
