The Question on Everyone's Minds

Are Asian Jews still considered a URM?

We All know they are the happiest group of people and they are rapidly progressing towards world domination. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/06/weekinreview/06…

The big question, however, is do they still get that hidden boost on their applications. If you are Asian, is it still advantageous to convert to Judaism in order to boost your application?

I'd have read the article because this sounds interesting (although far-fetched), but you need an NYT subscription now. Such horseshit.

I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.

Are Jews from Israel Asian? Israel does happen to be a country in Asia.

Haha, same.

- Bulls make money. Bears make money. Pigs get slaughtered. - The harder you work, the luckier you become. - I believe in the "Golden Rule": the man with the gold rules.

I think it's a no brainer. Everyone knows Judaism is more prestigious than Buddhism these days.

Hahaha, Jews were never a URM, Asian or otherwise. But yes, with the increasing number of mixed marriages (usually white Jewish guy with an Asian girl), the march toward domination is inevitable...
