Toxic boss

Any ideas as how to deal with a toxic MD boss (he was recently promoted) who takes credit for your origination efforts/P&L in front of management + keeps all the important strategic projects to himself? been slaving away for the guy for 9yr+ (I came as analyst 1), he's always displayed strange/abrasive behaviours but over the last year or so has turned into a massive insecure douche. He's the only MD in our team and we have 4 juniors who can't stand him either

Obviously thinking of quitting down the line but looking for any ideas to help me make it for the next 12m without losing (what's left of) my sanity

Cheers

If you’ve dealt with him for 9+ years, aren’t you guys on a close enough basis to have a direct conversation about his recent personality change? If you can’t work it out with him, either figure out a way to get out from underneath him (no homo), or line up a lateral position and get out of there.
