Transferring to Wharton

Sup guys!
So coming out of high school and applying to colleges, I wanted to be a lawyer so I applied and was accepted ED to another Ivy League school. However, after I realized how shit the law job market and the actual work of a lawyer is, I took Econ/ management courses and I felt like I really am more suited to finance. While my current Ivy is fine, I feel like Wharton or Penn would really prepare me the best. But I know how much a crapshoot admissions really is. Does anybody have any advice about transferring, whether I should take more classes for less than a 4.0 or one less class for a 4.0? And also is it awkward getting red letters from professors? Can I break into finance from my school as well?

Yeah I heard admissions is rough transferring into Wharton. But, with a strong record and if you're already coming from an Ivy, you'll probably be one of the ones who make up the small percentage.

Take less courses for the 4.0.

I would honestly definitely stay at your school if you're already at an Ivy. With an already high GPA, it isn't worth losing it when you transfer.

People underestimate the competition coming from Wharton; you're honestly probably better off just standing out at your current school. As a transfer, you'll be at a disadvantage relative to your Wharton peers. This is important considering everyone there is your competition for breaking in.

Not to mention the social difficulties, etc.

If you were coming from a bad school, my response would be different.
