Turkish Military Seizes Control of Turkey

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/live-blog/2016-07-1…

Events are unfolding as I write this.

I suspect this is an attempt by the military to overthrow the idiotic islamic dictator, President Erdogan. It is my understanding that, before Erdogan rose to power, Turkey used to be one of the few secular and peaceful countries in the middle east.

What does everyone think is going on and/or is going to happen?

EDIT:

Turkish Army Says It Seized Power to Restore Freedom and Democracy.

EDIT2: Military says that the democratic and secular rule of law had been eroded by the current government and that a new constitution would be prepared soon. Freedom of citizens was guaranteed by the "peace council", regardless of religion, race or language.
