Unreal salary opportunity or y combinator

I’m an analyst 2 at an EB and got into Y Combinator for the Fall 2025 batch. I don’t have any product, just an idea and would probably end up pivoting.

Alternatively,

I also got an offer from my friends family business to do Corp dev where I would make 200k base and 250k bonus guaranteed in a tier 2 city. I’d work 9-6 probably.

Which is a better option? My dream was to always do startup. Thank you!

450k recurring comp for a few years is better than the median outcome of a startup after a few years (including salary + exit if any)

450k recurring for corp dev already beats most PE offers...

curious about your ycombinator experience; did u pitch AI automation in finance workflows

450k guaranteed at a friends family business is the dream man

Don’t overthink it. Eventually you can skip work and go golfing with his dad, while still getting paid
