Update on job search
Hey guys,
As some of you will remember I've been posting a bit about my resume and different job search help. Just wanted to update you guys a bit and let you all know I just got a offer from PwC. Thanks everyone on this board who answered my questions and gave me a hand I really appreciate it. I'll update on specifics later if anyone is interested. I've still got Deloitte to go but I think I'm gonna go with PwC. Anyone see any reason to choose Deloitte over PwC? From the recruiting process and office visits with the extra interaction with some of the higher ups, I really like PwC.
Is it PwC in DC office? What group is it?
The differences between the Big 4 are pretty much negligible (this is assuming audit or tax; in advisory or consulting, this might not be true). Go with the people you like the most / would want to work with or whichever firm has the projects or clients that you are interested in.
Congrats dude! I am currently in the process of trying to get an internship at the Big 4 for the summer. Would you mind reposting your resume, so I can look at something that has been proven to land an internship?
What will you be working in?
I can only imagine the relief you must have felt once you finally offered. I must say that it's really stressful just sitting here and waiting to see if I will get an interview and offer (interviews for internships this summer aren't until November).
Your gut feeling is the way to go when the firms are relatively similar in reputation, size, training offered, etc. Only other thing I'd take into consideration would be how the firm is doing in your specific market. Is the employee turnover higher than typical? Are they losing many clients to competitors? These are things you won't find in the recruiter's script so hopefully you met a couple professionals who were real with you.
It's for the Chicago office and hopefully will be starting out in FS. Also this is a full time position so I didn't have any internship. I will repost my resume sometime tomorrow though.
I'm leaning heavily toward PwC because of the interaction I've had with the higher ups and how they seem to have reached out to me quite a bit. I feel this is a great fit from the office visit and might forgo the Deloitte interview. Anyone know how to get there hands on a client list of PwC and/or Deloitte?

Congrats on the job offer! I would go ahead and interview with Deloitte too. You don't want to burn any bridges, and if nothing else you get interview practice and some new perspectives. Good luck!
