Using Mac for Internship
Will be doing a commercial banking internship this summer at a lower tier bank. Is buying the new MacBook Air M1 going to play in effect with what I will do in my tasks like excel, software programs, etc. ?
I’ve been hearing lot of mix reviews with excel but I just wanted to know if getting a Mac is ok for an internship or getting a windows pc(been wanting the M1 since it has powerful performance).
I wonder if this was the reason why I didn't get a full time offer back

I wouldn't. You can't use any of the "alt" shortcuts so it's basically useless beyond basic calculations and formats. Takes 4x the time to do a lot of things. You wouldn't be able to take any of your on the job excel experience to your next role.
