Portugal/Spain, Greece, Austria/Czech Rep/Hungary are all great locations that are reasonably affordable. Gives you a variety of locales depending on your preferences (mountains vs beaches vs old cities).
How about Croatia? I've heard it's very cheap and quite nice
I've heard that, too, but don't have any first-hand experience or know anyone who did it.
Mallorca is awesome
Moldova
Spain is great because it allows you to hop around world-renowned places like Barcelona, Madrid, Andalusia, and Seville. I have personally been to Barcelona and Madrid. Barca was surprisingly affordable when I went (September). Even a really nice boutique hotel in El Born was about 175/night. Madrid is also great and not expensive. Was only there for two days and it’s not as festive/active as Barca.
Also, if you visit Europe, you don’t need to just stay in one country. Flights are typically affordable (like $60-$70) to hop from city to city (like Barcelona to Lisbon).
There are also boats you can take. Took a boat for super cheap from Barcelona to Italy. Also took a boat from Italy to Greece. Very cheap. The train systems are good too.
Not sure Europe in February makes sense to me unless you're doing a ski destination. Berlin or London can also work since there's mostly indoor attractions. lol at people recommend island destinations in february
i would recommend Cape Town, Sydney, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Lima, Marrakech etc.
Good point. On that note, I recommend Sayulita, Mexico. Great surf town, good eats, a real gem.
Barcelona, Greece, Italy (Cinque Terre, Rome, Venice, Milan)
