Thoughts on the case and the verdict?
Justice was served. Lock em up and throw away the key.
I do not know much about the case but this topic might be a good test of the removal of the anonymous feature.
Most people are pretty much on the same page with this case regardless of ideology. You can't hunt down a guy because you suspect they're a burglar and then shoot them when they freak out after you approach with guns. He was probably a burlgar casing a place to steal shit but that doesn't warrant death. If I were the other two i'd be furious that my brainlet son / friend's son put me in prison for life
It's similar to Rittenhouse in the sense that the evidence makes the proper conclusion completely obvious. The difference is that conservative pundits have generally been levelheaded and reasonable with this case, unlike liberals with Rittenhouse.
He was touring a home in construction which apparently is perfectly legal (did not know this before the case). He was empty-handed so there was no reason to assume theft, and was a regular jogger in the area.
Interestingly enough it wasn't the son but the neighbor of the father-son duo who recorded a portion of the chase which ultimately indicted them.
Do you understand why the father or Roddie were found guilty of felony murder despite not being the ones who pulled the trigger? That's the charge which I've had difficulty understanding.
I think many liberals agree with the Rittenhouse decision based on the law, which is what it is Their issue is mainly the absurdity of a 17 year old strapping an AR-15 to himself and going to a protest. Everyone: conservative or liberal has to agree that Rittenhouse is an idiot.
Seems like a very low number of responses, unfortunately.
I would gladly trade responses for civility.
