Just got the call I’ll be promoted to VP this cycle (officially announced in April).
I work with a small IB team (think satellite office) and haven’t seen anyone else been promoted in the office as I’m a recent joiner.
Is it typical to do anything nice for the team, especially for the juniors? Besides just splurging on dinner / drinks one night, do you get a small gift for folks?

Dinner is fine. Buying actual goods for people is a bit more dicey and could backfire if other people learned about it / not everyone gets one. I think there’s a line between goodwill and buying favors, and trust you’ll have the discretion.
