Waiting for 2020 election to pay off student loans

Posting this half as a joke but still. Just got my 2019 Bonus and am thinking about paying off my loans with this windfall. No matter your political persuasion there is at least a chance of Bernie or Warren getting elected, and both have cited student loan forgiveness as a major political goal.

Obviously the political complexity of actually passing a law like that makes it unlikely. But i'm going to feel like a fucking idiot if I pay them all off now then the government actually starts a debt forgiveness program lol
