I guess computer glasses could help for tiredness, but my ophthalmologist told me that usually computer screens already have that filter. Her best advice for spending days in front of screens was to take 15min breaks as often as possible.
Does anyone ever do that though? I find myself so plugged in that sometimes I don’t look away for easily 2hrs
Agree. Just try to force yourself (i.e. coffee breaks, have a walk, chat with someone). There are obviously times where you will look at your screen 3h straight or more. But when possible, try to take those breaks - stepping back a bit can’t hurt and will probability improve your concentration, reduce fatigue and clear your mind.
My eyes aren't bad enough where I need to wear glasses to function day-to-day but I've started wearing some prescription glasses with a blue light filter and it's definitely helped. I think it's more due to fixing my vision than the filter, but my eyes don't feel as dry and I don't get the same headaches I used to.
Before you do that, are you sure that there aren't other causes? I had the same problem for a long time in high school but after I got treatment for allergies it mostly went away.
I have prescription glasses and switched to the ones with a blue light coating bc they were like $10 more, but I haven't noticed any difference. Turning my monitor settings to a reddish tint helped a lot more.
