outside of college what did you study before interviewing for your internship/job searching if at all? it may not be directly related to the internship but maybe just preparing for the job. curious to hear if people just stuck to the college book work and if not what did they dive into, (certifications, other textbooks, etc...)

I was studying business, spanish, and mandarin chinese before my first position in corp fin / mgt consulting. I studied a lot more complex things in college versus what I found to be mostly working on Excel and Powerpoint in the position, which I could have probably done with a high school education.
