Consulting at a big 4, so I'm not a pure finance guy but still tread in the same circles.

Currently: future neurologist, current psychotherapist Previously: investor relations (top consulting firm), M&A consulting (Big 4), M&A banking (MM)

Interning at an insurance firm as an underwriter... graduating in December and hoping to have some options! Should be a busy and interesting semester ahead for me.

signpostsJust joined a MM PE fund from MBB - new to Boston and, depending on how you define consulting, to finance.
I'd be interested in chatting with you about the consulting -> PE move. Will you be at the happy hour this Thursday by any chance?

I am going to try to make it - 6 PM is a bit early and my office is in Back Bay, so I certainly won't be punctual. Happy to chat by PM if I don't get out there, though.

signpostsSorry I missed it - how was the happy hour? Is there a big WSO Boston community?
It's okay, the happy hour ended up unfortunately being a bit of a flop :( There is a significant number of Bostonians on WSO, although up until lately they've been a bit quiet. Our first HH in June saw 5 people come out; there was 6 last time in early August. In the coming weeks/months we hope to see the community grow. I know you guys are out there; it's just a matter of finding times/places that are most convenient for everyone.

weezerdogWhen and where is the next Boston happy hour?
Social chairs are discussing the next one as we speak :) We'll definitely keep you all updated (well ahead of schedule) when things have been finalized.
