What's the end goal?
Been doing some thinking about life lately; trying to figure out what's the end game of all this. We're all working so hard, but what's the point?
There's a part of me that wants to buy a 500 sq ft. house in a small town, get a membership at the local golf course, and just call it a life. That'd be enough for me. Sure, there won't be much novelty, but at least I'll have full control over my life. It won't be a glamourous life, but I'll have everything I need, and most importantly, I'll have absolute freedom.
the end goal is to step getting titty fucked by my MD
I agree with grass is always greener. If you think about it, what possible reason do you have to not quit when, according to you, the alternative equals absolute freedom? Leave then.
I think the best way to achieve both is to live a frugal life and aim to save/invest as much income as possible and retire from finance in your 30s/early 40s and dedicate yourself to pursuing your passions. The alternative is retiring now, broke, having no money to pursue anything else.
yet to see one solitary person that has actually did that.
How much money do you think would be enough to pull the trigger?
Off grid house high up in the central Sierras. Build a small chairlift. Install gazex remote launchers to mitigate avalanche danger. Enjoy skiing in the winter and natural pools in the summer. Still have a house in a community somewhere.. but spend the majority of time lost in the mountains.
This sounds awesome
What is the best small town in Florida?
South Beach
I meant middle of no where in Florida like cheap small town like Clewiston just randomly picking one off the map having no idea if it's a cool place or not
South Beach is a shit hole
Ecclesiastes 3
New International Version
A Time for Everything
3 There is a time(A) for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,(B)
3 a time to kill(C) and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent(D) and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
9 What do workers gain from their toil?(E) 10 I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race.(F) 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time.(G) He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet[a] no one can fathom(H) what God has done from beginning to end.(I) 12 I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live.
...
22 I saw that there is nothing better for a person than to enjoy their work
A bible verse from a guy trying to fuck anything and everything under the sun
That is kind of funny but Isaiah_53_5 💎🙌💎🙌💎 seems like a decent guy who happens to be very interested in young women. He is highly diversified in his interests, haha. With that said, being knowledgeable about the bible and or following a lot of religious rules does not necessarily make you an ethical person. Plenty of religious people are unethical as are plenty of non religious people.
Beachfront property in Malibu, Nantucket, and Hawaii. Townhouse in Palo Alto.
Happy wife happy kids.
That’s a long way of saying $150mm+ net worth
Ditch the wife and kids and you’ll only need $25mm
A fuckin mansion in a low CoL state. A 3-5mil house would be a palace in my hometown
$100m +, a average looking wife that loves to read, three sons and a townhouse in the west village.
Something like that would actually be it for me too, especially if it has a deck/backyard type thing to chill in the summer and have a bbq every once in a while.
I plan on leaving the game in my mid thirties, will live off investments / property rental income whilst running a small local gym in a coastal town
