At company happy hours or work cocktail parties, the general advice is to limit yourself to three drinks or less. This ensures you remain professional and in control while still being sociable. If you're cutting back on alcohol, you can always stick to one or two drinks, or even opt for a non-alcoholic option to pace yourself. The key is to stay jovial but professional, as these are work events, not personal parties.

If it's a happy hour I'm stopping at 2, because realistically I'm coming from work and still need to drive home. For NYC people this would be less relevant.
If it's a cocktail party more after hours, which I'd Uber to or something, it depends entirely on the vibes and the audience. If I need to be on my best behavior, I'm still sticking with nursing 1-2. If it's like a company Christmas party or something, I'm stumbling out of there.

None because the commute is too far (we work remotely and none of my coworkers / team members go). Our company is very siloed so networking / kissing butt of seniors on other teams during a happy hour seems pointless. I don't plan to stay here for more than 1-2 years so I don't see the point of building those external relationships with other teams.
Probably keep it to 2 drinks. If it’s an extended event w/ dinner, try to keep it to 1 drink / hour usually makes sense

If I’m driving home, I usually cap it around 9 drinks. Ad Council has tried to demonize DWIs but if you get pulled over and slapped with a first time misdemeanor, your seniors will respect the hell out of you and you will not have to worry about not getting staffed on deals. Hope this helps.

Happy hours I usually do 3-4. Anything else, no limit. I'd like at least 6-7. I like to be sloshed.
