Where do the 300k-500k quant new grads (undergrad) live in NYC?
Title. I'd imagine even with their high comp they'd still live in similar flats to IB analysts like me. And yeah it's a dumb question on a Sunday night :(
Unless the bonus is in writing or you can show you've gotten it for a few years, you can only rent on base salary - so say between $175-200k base, they're looking at $4-5k units. That still doesn't get you a super luxury unit in this market, you can be a little picky on location (downtown) but it'll be comparable to a 1 bedroom you get for $2k in any other city.
