Where is mutual combat legal in the US?

The title says it all.

Had a bit of verbal altercation with someone on this forum. You can read some of my recent comments to see how it went down but do that on your own time.

Anyways, the gist is I didn't mean it literally but now I gotta live up to my words and fight this guy.

Quite obviously, I don't want any legal trouble. So I'm looking  for places where I can fight someone legally and free from the risk of being sued.

Dude, you take this stuff way too seriously...  It is much better walk away than to get into internet fights. I would assume that you did not mean it literally but saying someone should knock your teeth out is pretty strong language.

Is this a serious topic or are you just venting?   I would hope you are not actually looking to fight someone over an internet squabble.

Someone's gotta hold me accountable for my words (and the other person's). I'd rather have it be myself.

I'm not taking it from someone who casually makes suicide jokes and then goes on to take a giant shit on the memory of my friend who killed himself.

As long as it's a fair and legal fight with guidelines, so no one walks out with a serious injury. Who's complaining?

Think if it like MMA fighters trash talking to each other before the fight.

Hey everyone,

This pussy is talking about me. He said "Someone ought to knock your fucking teeth out," after which I responded asking him why someone? Why not do it himself?

This clown of a shmuck then proceeds to play the victim. Later on, he ends the argument thread saying he will snitch on me 🤡

Hey Milton, if you're looking to actually carry out your promise of knocking my teeth out, DM me, let's actually do this. You don't have to make a post on WSO about it, no one actually cares about our little squabble, so just DM me, let's schedule a time to meet somewhere in Manhattan and handle it, fist to fist, man to man.

According to this Wikipedia entry it looks like the only place that explicitly forbids mutual combat in the US is Oregon. I've read a few stories about specifically Washington state being fairly open so long as you don't injure non-participants or damage the property of non-participants, also noted in the wiki. Honestly would love to see this become a more widespread thing, make it easy for people to get all the negative emotions out in one go. #MakeMutualCombatGreatAgain

How about this.

You look up some MMA gyms in your area that allows sparring. That ought to get us around the potential legal issues.

I'll likely be visiting a friend in Manhattan within the next 2 months. I'm gonna see you then. So don't even think about squirming out of this.

Just so you know I'm not sending some big dude to kick your ass, I'm 5'8" 140lbs. But I got 2 black belts and I'm ready kick some ass.

I honestly believe we should bring duels back, Wild West style. But barring that, go to Russia, and find this guy named Greg, he runs Strelka, look it up on YouTube. It’s an mma promotion but the fights are done in the street, no training required, you sign a waiver and you’re set. Both of you clowns can sign up.

I hope you're not serious about going through with this, Milton. I read through the comments and yes he made a joke about suicide, then preceded to be bit of a dick but people make fun of shit they shouldn't all the time, lmao you'd hate me too if we ever met. I'm sorry about your friend but people will make jokes about suicide, are you going to fight them all because your friend committed suicide. At the end of the day it was just a joke.
