Which office i should stay at

Help picking between two offices of my company

First: is not in my city, and the city it is in generally sucks, but all the high position employees work there and are some extremely smart people who i learned a lot from (think Harvard grads) also the clients i worked with are much bigger than here.

Second: recently transferred back to the office which is in my city, this place sucks there are like 6 employees here no one as smart qualified or experienced the only advantage is i can study for the cfa easily here.

I don’t have long term goals at this company and would leave in a year for my masters

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it seems like you're in a bit of a pickle. Here's my two cents:

If you're planning to leave in a year for your masters, it might be more beneficial to stay in your city. This way, you can focus on your CFA studies, which could be a great asset for your future career. Plus, you won't have to deal with the hassle of living in a city you don't like.

However, if you feel that the learning opportunities and networking potential at the other office are too good to pass up, it might be worth sticking it out in the less desirable city. Remember, it's temporary and could potentially open up more doors for you in the future.

Ultimately, the decision should align with your personal and professional goals. Consider what you value more at this stage in your career: the opportunity to learn from highly qualified individuals and work with big clients, or the comfort and convenience of staying in your city while preparing for your CFA.

Remember, as I always say, never run away from a job, always run towards a new job. Make sure you're making this decision with the right mindset. Good luck!
