Pay day for this guy! Bama crushed the spread and Nick Saban looked moderately pleased.

Are the LSU fans pissed that Jefferson stayed in the whole game? What the fuck is up with that?

I don't care for either school, but was pulling for Bama, so I didn't care, but I couldn't imagine being an LSU and sitting there wondering why we are trying to do the same thing that hasn't worked at all. Thoughts?

txjustinJefferson is an awful QB. Shoulda been pulled in the 1st half.
I thought the same thing, but then they showed Lee's stats against Bama...1 TD with 7 picks. LSU has nothing at QB, but neither does Bama really. At least their defense showed up.

I think the point is they were losing, the option they continued to TRY to run didn't work...at all. I think their longest gain came on a busted play. At what point do you just try something different? I realize that coming into the game you think Jefferson gives you the best chance at winning but when there is 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter and your QB hasn't done anything but make mental errors, why don't you switch it up?

Good point Ed. It just amazes me the way LSU looked last night. I could name several schools that would have stomped their ass, based on teh way they played last night. I will give massive credit to Bama's defense. They looked rock solid.

LSU is a good team. They would beat almost anybody. That dumbass coach that kept trying to run options and leaving Jarrett Lee on the sidelines needs to be admitted to a mental hospital though. Great talent, TERRIBLE coaching. (and qb play)

I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

The reason they kept jefferson was because he was good at scrambling...... BTW Lee has scored 1 TD with & INTERCEPTIONS Jefferson was better no doubt.

I'm not sure how you can say that Jefferson is better when he lost the game last night. At least Lee could have possibly changed the outcome. No doubt this was due in part to poor game planning and poor coaching, but Jefferson has to play that option properly and he didn't do it right a single time, that I saw, last night.

I don't disagree that they should have given Lee a shot. I'm just saying that may not have been enough because they are weak at QB across the board. Honestly, if they ran the option one more time I may have lost my mind. I can't be the only person that noticed the fact that every time they ran the option the RB was basically directly behind the QB rather than outside of him, which is the whole point of the option. What gain is there from throwing the ball backwards 5 yards when the defense is already spread to the edge of the field? The whole team looked like a joke.
