Working BB IBD in Midtown on 42nd in NYC

If I'm working in Midtown doing corpfin at a BB, would a commute from 110th be suicide to the little bit of sleep I would be able to get?

  1. The only BB on 42nd St is BAML. Unless w/o my knowledge BMO has just started to kick a$$ and take names. I realize you're trying to be discrete, but don't be stupid about it.

  2. It depends where on 110th st. 1st Ave would be pretty awful. But if you're close enough to the 6 train, it would take maybe a 20 - 30 minute commute. Which isn't bad, and you'll be taking cabs home at night anyways.

  3. Why the hell would you live up in Harlem? I realize you want to save money, but I'd rather spend somewhere in between Harlem and West Village in terms of rent, by going either Upper East Side (below 86th st), Murray Hill, or Hell's Kitchen.

Really no one lives up there who works at BAML. Also, go to mta.info and they have subway trips you can input and it'll tell you how long it'll take. Just look for something close to the 42nd street train near BAML.

East or West side?

West side on Lenox, Malcom X or St. Nicholas you can take the 2 or 3 trains and you'll be in 42nd St- Times Square in 15 mins max.

Anywhere further west and you will have to take the 1, B, C and it will take you 22-25 mins.

Not an awful commute. If you're far west not an awful neighborhood.

I may not be on the Jedi Council, but I sure am great with the Force. See my WSO blog posts
