Was a great time. Met some great people.

My observations:

A lot more people than I was expecting

About 60% of you are Asian, quite diverse crowd

A good amount of you traveled from far away - that is awesome

The expected value from this conference is pretty good considering the value of the raffle prizes and the probability of winning something (not everyone enters them)

WallStreetPrep: Thanks for the prize. I was convinced you handed me a box of bricks. Hauling that around wasn't fun, though.

Great event and amazing turn out. The conference continues to get better and bigger every year. Looking forward to the WSOCon 2014!

All of this.

Disappointed that I couldn't make it to the pre-party. Rest up fellow monkeys, see you next year!

Ha, at some point my table was literally speaking in Chinese. Not that I'm complaining! I relish any opportunity to practice.

All in all, had a great time.

anyone want to write some more? trying to get a feel on what I missed out...not much to go on. id appreciate a long comment:) unfortunately work came first....so had to cancel this year.

Dillian's speech was hilarious to say the least. He was a great keynote speaker and he was even able to answer some questions we had about his past experiences at work, the markets, etc.

One of the best things, especially for a youngin' like me, is that there were several people attending that held high positions in their respective fields. Getting to hear what they had to say about their respective industries and how they broke in (some of them being non-targets) was amazing.

You weren't the only one. I don't know if anyone did a count, but there were probably 50+ unclaimed name tags at the front table.

Yeah, that was pretty discouraging, especially considering that tickets weren't cheap.

There was a guy there who wore a gingham/plaid shirt and jeans who was quite dashing.

It would have been fun if that Asian dude didn't monopolize the scarce amount of women at the conference.

also blastoise was pretty cool to drink w/ - def shorter and stockier in real life

blastoise was there? Haha.

All of the people I met were really cool, especially the Certified users.

The conference was fantastic, met a bunch of great people from all over the place. It was nice being the only kid from Miami, haha. This was my first time at NYC; it was an exotic, interesting experience. The panels at the conference were cool, and the conversations I had with some of the panelists were invaluable. I'm not 21+, but I ended up in Havana Central up by CU and had a hell of a great time. I must admit it was a funny watching the many socially inept guys/girls attempt to talk to some people. I'm not sure about this talk of an Asian guy monopolizing women, I hardly noticed anyone there pulling girls. :\ Can't wait for next year!

Great time, and that's considering I didn't go to either party. Next year I am going to go all out (i.e. stay the weekend) because it's totally worth it. Also want to be involved next year any way I can, I would love to contribute.

Thanks for a great day in the city, monkeys.

Anyone see the taxi driver meltdown outside after the conference?

Me personally: The pre-party, and then the event on Saturday were awesome. I went out on Friday with two users, great group of guys, after the happy-hour. Met one from the previous event. We met some girls at the bar … but things didn’t stick when we changed venues. I saw some guys spitting game in that fashion. And personally saw one close the deal (Friday). On Saturday the even was good, humorous at times, and well put together. Some came to network hardcore (they know who they are). Others just chatted and swapped numbers/linked in profiles. Got to meet ANT in person and shorttheworld as well as a slew of other. I went out after Sidebar (ok venue, a little small and hot) with no luck. Met some cool Norwegian dude in MePa, not WSO related thought. And got hassled by doorman at 2 clubs. Called it an early night after that.

I wound up making out all right on Sunday afternoon ... during the parade of all places. Post conference. Since I live in the city, I decided to go out in the afternoon. Pulled a cutie sitting on some steps on 5th and 30th. And next thing you know, one thing leads to another. First we go to the park, then some pizza, then a hotel lounge, then we’re on my rooftop, and the rest is history. Betches love that shit, and I’m just thankful she was not a dude.

The conference was a lot of fun. I wish I had time to hear all of the panels in full. I was so busy talking with folks in the outside room that it was impossible to have all the conversations AND listen to all the panels. I was also hoping to spend more time speaking with a lot of the folks I've come to know here on the forums. The cocktail party and post-conference events are an awesome addition to the experience at the conference. Great job again this year WSO staff.

Great to hear of the success. Looking forward to attending next year (this year's tickets went unused thanks to poor planning on my part.)

Man, I did not monopolize hahaha. And how did you not know it was me? I was walking around with my username written on my name tag!

I definitely left one girl to another Certified User when I found out who he was going for :P ahem ahem.

And I'm very honest and upfront. Didn't play at all. I said to all of them "first one to get me wins" hahahaha. The rest I can just be good friends with :)

So shushy!

Also...I think a certified user bashed me hard for shamelessly flirting at a panel session. Whoops, guess it was too noticable :X I tried to be quiet!

Sounds like an awesome time. Wish I could've been there (will def be next year), but the drinks on Friday was actually really fun!

Look forward to the next happy hour in NYC! Will mark my calendar.

Good stuff. Networked a lot, hit on every female with a pulse, ultimately went home with the girl I came with. Met up with some of the WSO crowd the next day post-conference and exchanged some ideas of what was good and what can be improved.

I'd just like to point out that for every guy posting here that they hit on any female with a pulse at the conference decreases the number of female attendees at next year's event by 5.

So that means 10 will attend next year?

I was gonna say...I did not see much action or game going on. Talking to a female is not the same as hitting on her. Pretty sure future female attendees may rest safely. The odds might be good but the goods are odd as they say.
