WSO Political Leanings?

https://www.strawpoll.me/20828357

I'm just curious what WSO's political affiliations are. I think its split pretty evenly. Base it on the current Democratic or Republican parties in the U.S. and who you identify more closely with. No in-between.

Political parties aren’t sports teams. This isn’t USC or UCLA, Lakers or Celtics, Raiders or Patriots. Like most things in life, it’s a spectrum. I think people in between tend to be the most logical.

That being said, I think I agree with the current left a hell of a lot more than the current right- albeit I still think I align with what the right used to be (pre Trump)

I’d say a lot of people in IB are Rockefeller Republicans or the "socially liberal, fiscally conservative" types. Plenty of Bernie/ AOC enthusiasts in each SA class though

I am one of the AOC/Bernie enthusiasts. My family and I are very liberal- economically, socially, politically. I go to a liberal arts college and 98% students are very liberal/ left leaning ( and quite open about it)

Funniest

I don't know if you should be bragging about being retarded

"You guys"

Oh so you're not even from the US.  Yeah we don't give a fuck what some foreigner thinks, especially when your country most likely relies on the US.

I used to think I was socially liberal and economically conservative until liberals said you can’t be both and instituted policies such as mandatory gender quotas on public company boards, affirmative action in hiring/promotion/admissions, pushed for high minimum wages, And narrow worker classification Laws (eg uber). And then they tied all the above to social liberalism.
