I would say I have 3 best friends. They’re awesome guys, though not all of us are headed in the same direction in life. I have known all of them since at least middle school.
I met this one girl when I was interning in Neuroscience and we became best friends immediately. She literally said "we are best friends" immediately after we met. This was in 2016.
She is having a party tomorrow and setting me up with this chick that wants me to 'get her in shape', so I'll see what I can do. But, she is already in shape now and looks good, but thinking about taking this girl to Muay Thai training. I haven't been to Muay Thai in a long time, but my coach would probably be super stoked for me to bring a new member to the group.

it happened after a lot of tequila - then we went to the beach today

Isiah works in Neuroscience too? I remember you saying you studied air traffic control. What else do you do?
Background also in special ops training, worked for the department of defense, neuroscience analytics, automotive analytics, NLHE poker, corporate finance, management consulting, supply chain management, modern art (oil on canvas), and also caregiving.

I don’t think anybody who has a career in life sciences or academia would say they “interned in neuroscience” so take everything else with a grain of salt
Two best friends, both for different reasons. One I have known since middle school, and for a period of time was one of my only friends until I made some more. He's in med school now. I'll be a groomsman in his wedding (his brother is his best man).
Other one lived on my floor freshman year of college. Didn't hang out a whole lot and then we happened to be looking at the same apartment building for sophomore year and beyond and said fuck it let's be roommates. Been through the whole college glow-up together, lifted together, threw parties at our place, etc.. Still text everyday for the past year even though he lives across the country.
I have another handful that I would die for, and would do the same for me. But these guys are 1A and 1B in no particular order. I'm very lucky to have a friend group that is extremely tight-knit like that.
2 homies from college, mainly from my major, 1 guy from highschool, 1 ex-coworker, and one chick who is also a homie. Rare for dudes to have a lady friend that they dont want to bang, but shes smart, hot, and I'll probably work for her company someday.
My best friend is pretty much the polar opposite of myself. Unemployed/on welfare, very high-functioning asperger's, no formal education.
But you'd never know - he's incredibly sharp, carries himself well, and is a blast to be around. We were childhood friends, lost touch, and then re-connected through the same hobbies (music/instruments). 25 years later, we still write/talk almost daily.
Rest of my best buddies are free-spirited creative types. I work with a pretty homogenous bunch of guys - dudes that love talking about football, cars, etc., so it's a fresh breath of air to hang around with musicians / artists / etc.
My best friend's name is Paul, and we work for the same firm. At first, you might think that a guy who impregnated a stripper, could not get her to have an abortion despite paying her to do so, and then ended marrying the woman and raising the children sounds like kind of a loser. To a point, you would be correct in that he has never won anything on the biggest stage, but he is actually a great guy with an unfortunate reputation. Despite being labeled as a "choker" and having many people in our industry believe he is not the employee that can take our firm to great levels, this past year he has proved the naysayers wrong. Even in times of my absence (I am a perennial top performer when my health is decent), he has helped the firm beat the competition and taken it to levels never before seen. I am glad that the attitude around Paul seems to be changing within the industry, as I specifically requested that he join our firm. It's nice to see others inside and outside of the company view him in the same positive light that I do.
I’m a fun guy. Obviously I love the game of basketball. I mean there’s more questions you have to ask me in order for me to tell you about myself. I'm not just gonna give you a whole spill... I mean, I don't even know where you're sitting at
Damn, seems as if Ben cannot keep catching strays. It's unfortunate for him, because his tormentors know that he won't shoot back.

2 of them are childhood friends I've known since I was 4 and the other 2 I met in college. Very blessed to have 4 people I can truly depend on. Part of how you know you're best friends is also having your friendships tested by hardships / issues....otherwise you can't really tell if it's real. Not to say that you should force such a situation but if one does occur you'll learn if you're really best friends or not
Unfortunately the real OG best friend passed away a while back. That really sucked. Still miss him a ton, years later. Such a great person. Made me a better man, son, boyfriend (at the time lol) and friend to others. I still think about him all the time. If I could trade my life for his, I would do it in a heartbeat. Like say less lol. I'm just me but he was a fucking loss to the world. Crazy but even though he's gone, I'm still learning from him and the way he lived. So in a lot of ways hes not really that gone after all. Miss you man, see you again one of these days.
Beyond him, I'm incredibly close with several other people in my high school friend group and would def put em in the "best friend" tier. Just guys I love to be around. Just a text from them immediately brightens my day. Really high quality, fun, awesome people who I would literally do anything for. My relationship with my high school friends, which contained the guy who passed away, is just different. Maybe because we grew up together and had to go through that together. Being bored suburban kids together creates a special bond I think. I really loved growing up with them, and we are all so excited for what's gonna come next. I sometimes find it funny but it's awesome how much they care about me. Like they see how much I work and just wanna make sure I'm OK, and as long as they're still around, I will be fine. These guys aren't just friends to me, they're family. Family isn't blood, it's who you'd bleed for. I often think about how lucky I am to have friends like them in my life. Also got a couple like that from college. Love em to death, but the high school crew really is different. Kinda funny, but the guy I was friends with in college but got really so much closer with after graduation is the one who would fit in most perfectly with my hometown crew, and kinda the same for me if you flipped it.

You are the king of turning the subject matter to being about girls

Just turned on the TV and watched Paul miss 6 shots in a row
