Ficc interview?
Have a interview with a BB next week for the role of junior FICC COO and could use a few pointers as I am not real familiar with this type of role. It is a junior role so I imagine it will not be too grueling. Currently I work in wealth management so it is quite a change. Job specs include distribution management and planning
Any help on types of questions I should prep for would be useful?

FICC Sales- Phone Interview (Originally Posted: 08/14/2015)
I have a first round phone interview coming up for a fixed income sales position, focusing on the institutional side. Can anybody shed some light on what I should focus on beforehand/ what I might be asked in order to prepare?
Who is the interview with, do you know which product, and what is your experience?
It's with a MM bank. They specialize in US Treasuries, MBS, and Federal Agency Securities. I have 2 yrs of biz dev/ sales support experience in a client relationship management type of role without directly selling.
FICC S&T Technical Interviews? (Originally Posted: 07/20/2010)
Hi all, I am wondering should I expect some technical interviews if I were to apply for FICC S&T (trading) summer internships this fall? I am an engineering student and only had a back office summer internship, so I assume most interviews will be competency and market based, not anything like having to explain delta hedging, volatility, variance (given that I didn't do statistics except AL), what is stock pricing, how is Brownian Motion related etc kind of questions?
I did a search and found out Deutsche ones were one of the more technical but what about for other banks? Shall I keep learning the difficult technical bits for one area or spend me time cover all basic topics in FICC and equities? (at the moment I am only reading some basic stuff about bonds, reading FT everyday but focus mainly of stock indices, the economy and capital markets related news) Any advice? Thanks
