Agree with Ruskii. If you want to end up in corporate finance Asset hManagement group is not the best option. It could be challenging to change the group...make sure your story makes sense. I left big 4 because i could not change groups after 3 busy seasons as an auditor (i only had 1-2 on my evals). I can definitely say however, getting interview was extremely easy with a big 4 on the resume, so if you are only looking to stay for 2-3 years, it could be a good move.

Hi Thank you for the insight. I am in a similar question. If you could shed some light, it would be very helpful. One track is to go to the transaction service restructuring group in big 4, the other is to go to internal audit role in a major bank, (i.e, Goldman, Morgan, etc). In terms of future career path, which one would be a better track to go? Restructuring involves some financial modeling and internal audit at a major banks provides future opportunity to transfer to other groups inside the bank. Any idea is appreciated. Thanks.
