Anyone have any insight into 777 partners in Miami? Seems like it’s a lot of nepotistic hiring so curious to what the upside / growth at this firm looks like.

What you've noticed is correct. Hardly any room for growth for junior employees given the top-heavy structure, not to mention long hours for non-nepotism hires and disorganized and underperforming investments.

Their back office is bloated. They have more IT professionals then junior investment professionals and their finance & accounting staff is 10X that of any operationally focused firm. If they can't keep their HoldCo lean, not sure how they are handling their PortCos...

Been getting a lot of HH emails about 777, so checked the website out of curiosity. You'd think it'd be an internal red flag that half their junior staff is related to seniors, and that they have like 3x ratio of IT staff to investment people. Cool name though

I interviewed with a nepotistic hire for an internship and it was the most bizarre interview I ever had. He was slurring his words and speaking non-sense. I would avoid if he is representative of the firm.
