Advent NYC Culture/WLB - 2024 update
Hey everyone, wondering what culture / WLB is like at Advent, specifically in the NYC office. Understand there’s a certain degree of sweatiness that comes from a big shop, but overall what are people saying about the hours, culture, comp, perks, etc.? Are people sharp elbowed? Are associates able or encouraged to take vacation? What is their recruiting process like given know they take consultants (less focus on a traditional 4 hr modeling test, for example?)?
Any help here would be greatly appreciated!
Interview process varies by group but Tech at least does not have a take home model. Interviews include paper lbos and consulting style case interviews.

Have heard New York office has more bankers compared to Boston / Palo Alto which has a few more consultants and the culture reflects that (e.g. long-ish hours). Generally though everyone is nice to work with
