Advice on asking for more responsibility during annual review

About to have my annual review after a really successful year of working in PE. Some context:

  • My boss loves me and has been a great mentor to me,

  • I have recently been killing it at company-wide presentations, I think I have publicly established myself as someone of value,

  • I am in portfolio management for a multi billion (USD) fund, despite this I interface directly with a lot of our investors handling relationships with HNW clients... we are a small company so there is a degree of flexibility in what we do

  • I work in a small company that is growing fast, I could see myself working here 5 years potentially

  • I am young, I will apply to B school soon

I want to ask my boss for more responsibility:

  • adding some of our social impact funds to my umbrella (handled by totally different portfolio managers who have expressed need for future help)

  • becoming more deeply involved with our capital markets team that handles institutional relationships (manager has also has expressed need for help from me specifically)

I am absolutely ambitious and capable but I can understand pushback since these are a lot of things to be doing at once, what would you tell me as my boss?
