bump
They just totally whiffed on a fundraise, fyi
Ares bought a shit fund
Yeah but you’ll get the @ares.com email which is what matters
is the Ares name highly sought after tho
I don't think that would matter at all to be honest. Do not go to a secondary group just to get the "name" of the parent company, that doesn't make any sense.
why is that?
Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if they just get rid of the entire upper management team.
Heard good things about their real estate secondaries
hows their infra secondaries fund?
Bump
can you transition from Ares secondaries RE to Ares general RE group in future
Most likely no. You'll have a much easier time if you come from a smaller direct RE team than secondaries
$150 base
80 - 100% bonus
Hours are “WLB” - 60 - 80

As an Associate?
Do you know what other perks they have?
Bump.. what happened to Ares Secondaries? Did they let go the Landmark seniors?
They didn't have a proper retention clause in their contracts so when they realized they are part of a loser platform they just bolted.
curious what you mean exactly. Isn't joining Ares a good thing? I know in terms of PE they're mediocre, but with their credit business success, they must have a massive fundraising team that should have been a positive in terms of fundraising success. How many people left? Were they mad b/c of economic splits?
