Pro Tip:
If you're considering Audax, make sure you're ready to handle the intensity of private equity work. The experience you gain will be invaluable, but it’s not for the faint of heart. If you're aiming for a long-term career in PE or VC, this program can be a great stepping stone.
Good luck with your decision! If you have more specific questions, feel free to ask.

What does the recruiting timeline look like?
Based on what I know from friends at the shop as well as OCR events, I think it is one of the better private equity summer analyst programs if you are solving for upward mobility, which is generally something that goes over folks' heads (especially as a sophomore in college).
Audax trumps other buyout analyst programs when it comes to upward mobility. A quick LinkedIn search shows that many of their mid-levels started as analysts, which is typically not the case at traditional "2 and out" type of shops. Have heard there is junior turnover, but not dissimilar to any other analyst program. Have also heard junior comp is in line with EB pay at the analyst level, unsure of what this looks like at the associate level.
If you are considering the role, be confident in your ability to convert the SA to FT, as well as starting out in Boston as opposed to another major city. Also would be wise to consider what exit opportunities look like compared to traditional routes such as banking or consulting.
Threads from 3-4 years ago mention extremely long hours, wondering if that is still the case
Not me but friends say it is very long hours.
Similar to banking?

Have heard hours are long for junior folks. Value creation strategy is heavily reliant on add-on acquisitions which may create more responsibility for juniors from a port co management standpoint.
