BB IB > Start up > PE / Growth is it possible?

Hi everyone,

I worked in IB for ~4 years and then went on to start my own business. I am now trying to go back to Growth / Tech PE? Is it possible? Personally, I am finding it hard to get back traction with the usual HH after 1.5 years "out of the market", but not sure if the market is only slower given summer.

Any feedback / inputs would be very much appreciated! Also, would be happy to DM anyone in the who is or was in a similar position at some point!

Thanks!!

Thanks for the reply! Going back to banking not really tbh - but thinking maybe VC would be an easier sell? Then eventually go from there to Growth...

I am also reaching out directly to my network, working already in Growth / Tech PE - are referrals realistic, or tough to sidestep HH?
