Any pension investment role with international presence is good enough to get you into the states. Think OTPP, CPPIB, PSP, OMERS, Ivanhoe, etc. Idk which is the "best" but of course the likes of CPP/ OTPP/ PSP have huge international presence, so those are good bets. Also it can depend on whether you want sell-side or buy-side USA and which year you are in. If you are doing a sophomore internship at these funds, you can interview basically anywhere with decent networking for junior year. A junior internship there to go to USA FT is still possible, especially for buyside. Just need to network harder.

Altas, Novacap, Pensions and a couple of AMs come to mind that have done well placing people in the states for internships and FT
