Biggest headlines in PE Media & Telecom

Today, I received an offer to chat with a media & telecom MD at a large fund. The conversation is tomorrow nad I am not prepared because media & telecom is not my area of expertise. I am going to spend until tomorrow getting smart, but I am hoping:

  1. Can anyone please recommend topics to research in the space, interesting details that have just occurred, or anything so that I don't sound brain-dead if I get asked a question about the space?

Just a list of topics like: FCC blocks Sinclaire-Tribune deal or AT&T buys Otter Media from Chernin Group would be very helpful. I think these are a little specific and myopic and I need to get wise on trends. Any recent industry reports would also be appreciated.

Thank you very much.
