Biggest headlines in PE Media & Telecom

Today, I received an offer to chat with a media & telecom MD at a large fund. The conversation is tomorrow nad I am not prepared because media & telecom is not my area of expertise. I am going to spend until tomorrow getting smart, but I am hoping:

Can anyone please recommend topics to research in the space, interesting details that have just occurred, or anything so that I don't sound brain-dead if I get asked a question about the space?

Just a list of topics like: FCC blocks Sinclaire-Tribune deal or AT&T buys Otter Media from Chernin Group would be very helpful. I think these are a little specific and myopic and I need to get wise on trends. Any recent industry reports would also be appreciated.

“Very good planning prior to the meeting and effective notes that allowed the session to go quickly and effectively. We covered a lot of topics on the resume and I recieved a good amount of notes that I can correct my resume in order to make it more specific for the PE companies I will work with.
