Biotech Buyside

Hi everyone,

Currently an advanced degree (PhD in comp bio) graduate looking at 2 potential career options:
1) Biotech Buyside (mostly VCs or private side but also looking at HF)
2) A technical role that is more transferable to tech (think ML/AI) with ambition of doing product management or entrepreneurship after

I have VC exp in biotech during my degree but want to expand into other areas beyond biotech and not pigeonholing myself in a fairly risky industry, but want to get experienced folk's opinion on biotech investing vs. broadening my options later in my career
