Career Advice in Europe
Have been working in the investment/corporate dev team of a firm investing in infrastructure assets as an analyst for nearly 3 years, in Europe. Hours and all-in total comp are great for analysts (100-150k) but does not seem to be the case as you climb the ladder (most senior MD making all in 400k in best case scenario with 20+ years experience). Given my profile, semi target European msc economics (think Imperial, ESCP), CFA level II, and EUR 100M+ of transaction experience, what would be the best next steps for my career, to maximize my long-term comp while keeping the hours reasonable (i.e. what tipe of role/firm should I be targeting)? Would an MBA allow me to land a better gig?
