Case studies not in industry group

Hey all,

Current 1st year going through off-cycle now and wanted to get some thoughts on approaching case studies during interviews.

I’m in the healthcare coverage at my bank and am interviewing for healthcare groups at funds (UMM/MF) that have several verticals, but are not generalist and verticalized at the associate level and up. However, I’ve gone through 2 superdays already and both times, case studies have been pure-SaaS (not even HCIT) and I have very limited knowledge of tech.

Is this normal? Should I start reading up on tech? Just felt pretty blindsided when they started asking me for churn builds in excel and has been in 2/2 superdays thus far.
