Catalyst Capital (Toronto Distressed) - Thoughts?

Monkeys -

Any thoughts on Catalyst Capital? I've heard they are a top ranked distressed fund in North America, but they are very opaque. I'd like to hear about culture, hours, pay, etc.

Also, any clue if an industry guy could break in there? I know they usually recruit guys coming from restruc, LevFin, etc.?

I've read the other thread on Distressed PE - there were also some negative comments in there but with light explanations.

They are essentially one of the only distressed shops in Canada... not a lot of opportunities if I don't want to move south of the border.
