Chances of getting into PE straight out of undergrad?

I'm wondering whether it is worthwhile to pursue obtaining a private equity job straight out of undergrad or not. What type of firms hire out of undergrad and what can I do to increase my chances?

Additionally, say getting in straight out of undergrad isn't an option, would 2 or 3 years of IB experience be beneficial? Going to business school isn't really financially viable for me so I'm wondering what the other paths of getting into PE would be.

Thanks.

i assume that because you use the term "unis" you are in europe.

only in Europe will you find any decent PE shops that hire undergrads. in America, you will not.
